Basepoint Havant and Waterlooville present £4,000 cheque to The Elizabeth Foundation
Basepoint business centres in Havant and Waterlooville have recently donated £4,000 to The Elizabeth Foundation, the centres’ chosen charity.
Sherry Thomson, Assistant Manager at Basepoint Havant, and Lorraine Ede, Assistant Manager at Basepoint Waterlooville, were delighted to present the cheque to Alison Robinson, fundraising manager at The Elizabeth Foundation (www.elizabeth-foundation.org), a national charity which supports infant and pre-school aged children with hearing loss.
Lorraine Ede comments: “Basepoint Havant and Waterlooville are both extremely supportive of The Elizabeth Foundation and proud of the work they to do with deaf children in Portsmouth and across the UK. It’s an honour to contribute to such a great charity, and in doing so, supporting their continued work with young children and their families.”
Alison Robinson adds: “We are so grateful to Basepoint Havant and Waterlooville, and The ACT Foundation for this extremely generous donation. The donation will cover the cost of an ‘Early Childhood Alpha Bain’ – a complete all-in-one bathing solution, which will be used to modernise the children’s bathroom and hygiene facilities at the family centre in Hampshire.”
Basepoint is the main trading arm of leading UK grant making charity, The ACT Foundation. Each of Basepoint’s 28 centres supports a local charity and they endeavour to raise money for those charities – all funds that are raised are then match funded by The ACT Foundation, up to £10,000.
