Basepoint Business Centres, who specialise in the development and operation of flexible business, innovation and enterprise centres, is owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant-making charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need. As such, each centre is dedicated to fundraising for a selected charity and The ACT Foundation match funds any money raised by the chosen charity, up to the value of £10,000 per centre.
HRTC is a leading charity dedicated to the provision of riding tuition and therapy to adults and children with all kinds of disabilities and special needs. It has long been recognised that horse riding provides valuable therapy and self confidence for people from all walks of life whatever their need is.
Jenny Wills, centre manager at Basepoint Romsey, adds: “We couldn’t wait to join HRTC at their Open Day and present them with a cheque which we are sure will support them in the fantastic work they do. The day was a great success, with money also raised from activities such as face painting, wet sponge throwing and jewellery sales. We look forward to supporting HRTC on more fundraisers in the future.”
Kerie Coutts, co-founder at HRTC, comments: “HRTC provides horses and ponies to people with a range of disabilities, including those who are seriously disabled. All sponsorships and donations support the overall running of the charity, which can be costly and is why fundraisers form a big output. We were absolutely delighted to be presented with an unexpected cheque from Basepoint Romsey, and are very grateful for their continued support.”
