Basepoint hosts ‘Regional Networking Hub’ for local SMEs in Kent
Basepoint Business Centres across Kent hosted their first ‘Regional Networking Hub’ on Tuesday 9th October. The networking event was free to all SMEs in the region, giving them a chance to benefit from this wildly successful format.
With 58 people in attendance, there was plenty of opportunity to network, exchange contacts, and hear from other SMEs who have had success in their industries. Two of Basepoint’s very own licensees, Josh Whiten from Webscape and Ashley Connell from London Village Rentals (LVR), gave interesting and engaging talks on ‘How to use Social Media for your Business’ and ‘Seizing your Opportunities’ – hot topics for any budding SME.
The day was rounded off with a hog roast lunch, all-important networking, and a business card prize draw with a Kentish Hamper, Christmas Hamper, P&O Ferries Cruise, A bottle of Cava and a Tower of Treats to be won.
Jo Clark, centre manager at Canterbury Innovation Centre, comments: “This regional networking hub was a first for Basepoint Business Centres in Kent, and we couldn’t be happier with the brilliant turnout and feedback we’ve received. We understand the importance of supporting SMEs in our local area, and know from previous networking hubs how beneficial these days can be to our licensees. Businesses working in Kent and our existing licensees had the opportunity to cross-promote their services to each other, hopefully resulting in them gaining a few new valuable contacts!”
