Basepoint Gosport Bags Bronze Gardening Gong
The Basepoint operated Gosport Business Centre is delighted to announce that it received a bronze in this year’s ‘Gosport & Lee-on-Solent in Bloom’ competition in the ‘Business Initiative in the Community’ category.
It was testament to the hard work and dedication of Cyril Coote Mackay, the business centre’s gardener, in a year that saw horticulturists across the area struggle to nurture their flowerbeds and baskets due to the bad weather, that the landscaping looked as good as it did on the day of judging.
The awards ceremony took place at Thorngate Halls, Gosport, where Cyril received the medal from ‘Mr. In Bloom’ TV personality, Fred Dinenage MBE.
Cyril comments: “This is five years on the trot that I have won an award for the business centre and I am overjoyed to say the least. Fred recognised me straight away and we did think it was slightly funny that we always meet up at the same event!”
The Basepoint operated Gosport Business Centre provides a wide range of flexible office space ranging from one person units, through to larger spaces that are available individually or as required. The centre also boasts an incubator suite with fully equipped workstations for start-up businesses, a broad selection of self contained workshop and studios, superfast broadband and free parking. The centre is prominently located on the A32 Fareham Road, between Gosport and Fareham, with easy access to both towns, as well as J11 of the M27.
