That's MAGIC!
We at the Joiners Shop are pleased to announce that we have raised the sum of £4,200 for our chosen charity MAGIC (Medway Autism Group Information Centre)
MAGIC was formed in 2006 due to the real need for providing information and support. This support is given by parents who themselves live with Autism. If you have a child that you believe has autism or has a diagnosis of Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), are a carer or even a professional who works with such children, then MAGIC can help.
All of the staff at MAGIC are dedicated to providing understanding and help to others to realise the complications behind Autism. They have a vast amount of information and experience to be able to help get the best from the children and for their futures.
Being a member of MAGIC means that children also benefit from having a network of friends that the MAGIC group provide through informative coffee mornings, youth club, activity days and so much more. They even offer “Holiday MAGIC” – a 3 bedroom holiday home allowing families to have a relaxing break in a well-equipped luxury caravan at Allhallows Leisure Park in Kent.
At MAGIC they offer a point of contact for information on all aspects of Autism and co-existing conditions. They also aim to meet the needs of all the children by making each event as individual and suitable as possible.
