Basepoint Gosport donates more money to local charity pot
The Basepoint operated Gosport Business Centre is delighted to announce that it has donated another £565 to its chosen charity, the Gosport and District Sports Association for the Disabled (GADSAD), which was match funded by Basepoint’s parent company, The ACT Foundation.
The aim of GADSAD is to provide social and sporting activities to disabled people living in the local area. The charity provides their members with the opportunity to socialise with others in similar situations and participate in a wide variety of sports and games. Late last year, a serious fire caused extensive damage to their clubhouse.
Denise Starkie, secretary of GADSAD, comments: “Receiving this extra funding is going to be a tremendous boost when the rebuild of our fire damaged building has been completed, we can’t wait to return to our ‘home’ and start planning to obtain more modern facilities for the benefit of our members, and this donation is certainly going to help us to achieve this goal.”
Andrew Weston, centre manager for Gosport Business Centre, adds: “We’re pleased this donation will help GADSAD continue their amazing work with disabled people in the area, and we look forward to seeing the clubhouse when the repair work has been completed.”
