Rolling out the Green Carpet
The Basepoint operated Gosport Business Centre was turned into a film set for three days by University of Portsmouth Film Students as they filmed a short film at the business centre.
With the recent red carpet event of the Oscars, it was time to get the Basepoint green carpet out as the students, who are in the second year of their Television and Film Production Degree course, used the business centre as a set for their production, ‘The Interview’.
Alex Minto, Writer and Director said, ‘This short film is about an interviewee who has strange visions about how he can sabotage the interview he is going to, so is a bit of a dark comedy. We are really grateful that Basepoint allowed us to use their facilities, which proved to be perfect for what we needed, and the management team at the centre, Andrew and Kerry, were so helpful.”
The rest of the team consisted of Michael Riding – Producer, Nika Samani – Editor, Harry Balmforth – Cameraman and Kyle Bradshaw in the supporting acting role.
Andrew Weston, the centre manager of Gosport Business Centre, said: ‘We are really pleased that the students have found the facilities here perfect for their project, we see this as another way of strengthening our already close links with Portsmouth University as we have been supporters of their Enterprise Challenge for several years now.’
