The Old Rectory Business Centre donates over £1,000 to Alzheimer’s charity
The Old Rectory Business Centre in Northfleet, Kent, is delighted to announce that it presented its charity, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services (ADSS), with a cheque for £1,247 on Monday 22nd April.
The Old Rectory Business Centre started sponsoring ADSS in November 2012, and has since held various fundraising events, including, office cleaning by centre management in return for donations, a homemade mince pie sale, ongoing centre tuck shop, and various raffles.
ADSS’ primary aim is to enable people with dementia to stay independent. As such, it has developed a specialist service to provide people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with practical and emotional support.
Michelle Gagie, centre manager at The Old Rectory, comments: “We’re thrilled to present ADSS with their first cheque of the year. We’re especially grateful to The Old Rectory’s centre staff and licensees, who have all thrown themselves into the fundraising activities!
