Basepoint Shoreham supports local children's hospice
Basepoint Shoreham is delighted to announce that Chestnut Tree House, a local children’s hospice, has been selected as the centre’s chosen charity to support this year.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex, and cares for 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions. Opened in 2003, the hospice provides a 'home from home' environment for families from Sussex and South East Hampshire, offering support including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.
Terrina Barnes, corporate fund raiser, said that the hospice are extremely grateful to Basepoint Shoreham for choosing Chestnut Tree House as their nominated charity this year. Our families are not charged for the care we provide, and the hospice receives hardly any government funding at all. Therefore, we rely heavily on the generosity, support and help of the local community. Thanks to Basepoint, we can make such a difference to the lives of the children we care for.”
Basepoint Business Centres will match fund up to £10,000 to support them this year. The team at the centre and the licensees are already planning events to help the hospice.
