BASEPOINT BASINGSTOKE DONATES OVER £10,000 TO LOCAL HOSPICE
Basepoint Basingstoke is delighted to announce that it recently presented a cheque for £10,673 to its chosen charity, St. Michael’s Hospice. The money was fundraised throughout 2012 from hosting local events, such as a sunflower fete, golf day, car wash to a Christmas draw.
St. Michael’s Hospice provide an invaluable service to the local community and has a huge impact on the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses as well as supporting their families. The annual running costs of the Hospice are over £3.3 million, of which they receive around 18% from the Hampshire Primary Care Trust. With the help of supporters from the local community, the Hospice can continue to provide its vital services to patients across North Hampshire.
Anne Willis, Basepoint Basingstoke’s Centre Manager, comments: “We hope that this donation enables St. Michael’s Hospice to continue their amazing work in the local area. It was fantastic to work together throughout last year at our various fundraisers, and we’re looking forward to the rest of the year and seeing what else we can do!”
