BASEPOINT CHEPSTOW PRESENTS CHEQUE FOR £3,000 TO LOCAL HOSPICE, ST DAVID’S

Basepoint Chepstow recently presented a cheque to St. David’s Hospice Care for £3,000. The cheque represented match-funding by Basepoint’s parent company, The Act Foundation for funds raised by St Davids's at their Annual Big Bike Ride.
The Bike Ride was held on Sunday 30th March with 350 cyclists taking part in the gruelling route of 77 miles from Newport to Monmouth. St. David’s Hospice Care provide vital support to people with life threatening illnesses, and their families, to face the challenge of reaching the end of their lives with dignity and respect. The charity provide Hospice at Home care as well as four day hospices and in 2013 they also took over the inpatient services provided at St Anne’s Hospice, a 10-bed in-patient unit in Malpas, Newport.
Tina Colegate, Centre Manager commented ‘We are massively proud of the fact that we have St Davids Hospice as our chosen charity, this is a charity very close to my heart. We were thrilled to be able to presented them with their first match funding cheque’.
