MP Toby Perkins visits Basepoint Business Centre Crawley to engage with SME’s

Crawley

Licensees at Basepoint Crawley this week were given the opportunity to discuss the challenges facing small businesses with MP Toby Perkins, the Shadow Minister for Small Business pictured here with Centre Manager at Basepoint Crawley Rebecca Gattinesi and the Labour candidate for Crawley Chris Oxlade.

The visit was arranged to provide Toby the opportunity to speak directly to SME’s, and as the Hub of growing businesses in the Gatwick Diamond a visit to Basepoint provided the perfect opportunity for this.

Toby was given a tour of the centre by Centre Manager Rebecca Gattinesi who comments; “Basepoint is well known as a business community of growing SME’s and it was great to show Toby around the centre and discuss the services provided at Basepoint to help small businesses.”  During his tour Toby visited a number of the licensees including Beta Futures, Creative Pod and Copy Solutions, to showcase the diverse range of successful businesses based at the centre.  A networking lunch was then organised and Toby took questions from licensees and local businesses.  The topics raised during this debate were small business funding, business support structures including the Local Enterprise Partnerships and apprenticeships.
