Gosport Business Centre wins two 'in Bloom' Awards
At the annual Gosport in Bloom Awards, held on Thursday 16th October in the Grand Magazine at Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower, the centre walked away with a Gold and Silver Medal.
The Silver Medal was awarded for second place in the Best Business Premises category. However, Andrew Weston the centre manager and Cyril Coote-Mackay the gardener/handyman were overjoyed when the centre’s name was announced as Gold Medal and overall category winner for the Best Industrial and Commercial Premises in Gosport. As well as the two medals, the centre was also presented with The Royal Horticultural Society Encyclopaedia of Plants and Flowers. Both awards were presented by Fred Dinenage who presents Meridian Tonight on ITV. Andrew said, ‘I am chuffed to bits with these awards, especially the Gold; it is recognition of Cyril’s hard work over the past four years here and shows that business centre’s can look good. We describe our landscaping as contemporary as we are not awash with vivid colours but what we have here obviously caught the eyes of the judges. All our visitors always comment on how lovely the place looks and these awards are the icing on the cake for us.’
