Adding to The Rainbow Centre's Pot

Gosport

Andrew Weston, the centre manager of Gosport Business Centre hands over a cheque for £621.39 to Julie Woodward, the community and events manager from The Rainbow Centre as part of the business centre’s match funding scheme. Andrew selected The Rainbow Centre as the business centres charity after being asked to find an organisation whose work was similar to those supported by Basepoint's parent company The ACT Foundation.

‘The decision to choose The Rainbow Centre was an easy one for me’, said Andrew, ’the work that they do is amazing and it benefits not just local people but families from across the south. We are working on establishing new recycling schemes at the business centre whereby The Rainbow Centre will benefit from the income generated from it and we are also offering the services of our gardener/handyman to help maintain their newly opened Play Away and WILD gardens. Julie Woodward, Fundraiser at The Rainbow Centre says,” Gosport Business Centre has been supporting us for several months now with various different things. The support isn’t just financial; they have also offered us the use of their wonderful facilities and the loan of their gardener. As the business centre has just won Gosport in Bloom I am sure that our gardens will be kept to a very high standard”. Andrew is also encouraging business’s in the centre to take part in some of our events, such as quiz nights and our Christmas Dinner Dance which is being held on November 29th at HMS Collingwood. He even supported us in person at our recent Open Day!”
