Millfields School wins Basepoint prize
After Winning Basepoint Bromsgrove’s sunflower competition, the children of Millfields First School’s Gardening Club have received a £250 prize.
When Millfields’ sunflower was judged as the winning plant, it measured 135cm and was taller than the plants grown by the five other groups participating in the competition from the Bromsgrove area; Belbroughton Primary School, Meadows First School, Tardebigge Church of England First School, first Barnt Green Cubs and Catshill sixth scout group. However, Millfields First School’s sunflower now measures over 7ft – taller than all of the schools teachers!
