Basepoint announces £10,000 match fund donation for The Wessex Autistic Society
Basepoint Business Centre, Bournemouth has announced a £10,000 match fund donation for The Wessex Autistic Society’s Portfield School. The announcement was made at a ruby-themed coffee morning, which the society hosted at Basepoint’s offices in Christchurch.
Carly Thompson, Centre Manager at Basepoint, says: “Basepoint is owned by The ACT Foundation which is a charitable organisation and each financial year all Basepoint centres across the country choose a charity of their choice to offer a match fund donation. In this instance, if The Wessex Autistic Society raises £10,000 in this financial year Basepoint will also donate £10,000 to the School. All of us here at Basepoint think the society’s Portfield School is fantastic, so it was the obvious choice for our donation and as the School is only down the road from us it’s nice to be able to help our neighbours!” Debbie Anderson, Fundraising and Marketing Manager, The Wessex Autistic Society, says: “We were thrilled to discover at our ruby-themed coffee morning that the Portfield School would be receiving such a huge donation. We owe Basepoint a huge thank you! The Society will need to raise £10,000 in order to get the full match donation, so we hope people will continue to support all the work we do as a charity to enable the School to receive the full fund.” Guests at the Society’s coffee morning all donned red outfits and donated money to the Society in return for a cup of coffee and a cake in Basepoint’s ruby red room. Basepoint offers different organisations the opportunity to host coffee mornings each month. To host a coffee morning please contact Carly on 01202 331700, or email [email protected]
