The BBC at Gosport Business Centre
BBC South Today broadcasts live from the Basepoint Operated Gosport Business Centre during their main early evening programme for post budget reaction. Within minutes of George Osborne concluding his budget speech on Tuesday 23rd March, BBC South’s reporter Steve Humphrey was on site at Gosport Business Centre to see what businesses based there thought of the budget.
Amongst the highlights of his budget, The Chancellor announced an extension on the business rate relief holiday, extending it until October 2012, a move that will see numerous licencees continuing to benefit from self administration of this charge which was introduced by Basepoint in 2010. The live outside broadcast took place during the regular early evening news programme where Steve interviewed Andrew Weston the centre manager and Mareck Mamczur of Dynamic Laser Solutions who is one of the licencees at the centre.
