Business Centre, Basepoint Shoreham, are pleased announce their latest match funding donation of £8,037.18 for nominated charity, Chestnut Tree House.
The money which is being match funded was originally raised through a variety of events and also included donations from two Basepoint licensees.
Marie Harris, Managing Director of Beta Futures based in Basepoint Crawley, took part in an epic trek of the Great Wall of China, funding the trip herself and raising an incredible amount of sponsorship for the charity.
Zappies, a toy wholesaler based in the Basepoint Shoreham, also donated to the charity following a stock sale within the business centre.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex and Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support. This donation will help the charity to continue to provide this vital support free of charge to these families.
Roxanne Haid, Centre Manager at Basepoint Shoreham, comments: “We are delighted to donate this money to Chestnut Tree House especially following the hard work of two of our own licensees who have proved that by working together we really can make a difference.”
