Basepoint Folkestone spins over £700 for Sport Relief
In an effort to raise money for Sport Relief, Basepoint Folkestone organised a sponsored spinning session at the centre, raising over £700 for the charity. Centre Manager, Lorraine May, was joined by four other licensees who took up the challenge to spin for the duration of 50 minutes. The sporting hero was licensee, Joy Gross, who at 81, was the oldest spinner, but by no means the least fit as she managed to ‘out spin’ Lorraine who had to take a break and regain her energy.
Lorraine May comments: “We are thrilled to be able to donate the money we raised to Sport Relief. Events like this really highlight the sense of community and support we have at the centre – congratulations to all those involved and especially to Joy, whose sprightliness was an inspiration to us all and she deserved every second of the standing ovation she received.” Basepoint Folkestone is situated on the Shearway Business Park and provides a wide range of high quality managed office and workshop space in friendly, purpose-built premises and on flexible terms.
