Swindon Business Centre donates over £4,000 to local charity
Basepoint Swindon are pleased to announce their presentation of £4,253.94 to local charity, The Swindon Therapy Centre for MS.
The funds being match funded were originally raised by the charity during a series of fundraisers throughout the spring, including a street collection and store collections as well as two runners in the London Marathon (Amy Walton and Richard Warren).
Lyn Chapman, Centre Manager at Basepoint Swindon commented: “We are delighted to have donated this money to The Swindon Therapy Centre for MS. With this donation the total raised for these events comes to over £8,500 which will be put to good use by the charity to continue their valued work.”
The Swindon Therapy Centre for MS was founded initially in 1981 as a self-help group and has since grown into a thriving charity offering therapies, advice and support to MS people and their families in Swindon and the local area, being the only Centre of its kind within a 35 mile radius of Swindon. The Centre provides people with a range of services from exercise classes to financial guidance.
