A HUGE WELCOMBE TO WYCOMBE SOUND WHO HAVE RECENTLY JOINED BASEPOINT HIGH WYCOMBE
Local Radio has returned to the town after Wycombe Sound is awarded a five-year licence to broadcast.
The transmitter installation is now completed and Wycombe Sound will be going live on the radio very soon following testing.
The directors of Wycombe sound Chris Phillips, Philippa Sawyer and Keith Higgins are currently putting plans into action. The radio station has come a long way since 2013 and is looking forward to broadcasting past their usual 28 day licence and into the New Year.
Wycombe Sound have been overwhelmed with the support from listeners and volunteers, they currently have over 70 volunteer broadcasters, technicians and reporters from all walks of life. Wycombe Sound will broadcast a mix of local interest interviews and features, together with local news and phone ins. There will be lots of great music too, plus specialist programmes and outside broadcasts.
