Mayor of Hillingdon switches on Eastcote festive lights
Eastcote held a traditional Christmas market on Saturday 3rd December to promote shopping locally in the town centre.
The event was held in the Ascott Pub car park, on Small Business Day, a national initiative which supports and advertises small enterprises and encourages consumers to shop within their local community and high streets. There were a variety of stalls with products, such as gifts, food, clothing and accessories from a range of craftspeople and independent retailers. Family entertainment was on offer throughout the day at several locations on Field End Rd. The Christmas lights were switched on by the Mayor assisted by young people. Eastcote Horticultural Society had a stall outside the Post Office. The Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr John Hensley also announced the prizewinners of the best dressed Christmas shop window competition.
