A cheque presentation was made to The Stables in Barnet Lane, Herts by Val Hurwood Centre Manager at Eastcote to match fund the £662.80 raised by their efforts with sales from teas and coffees and table goods.
Basepoint Business Centre in Ipswich has been shortlisted for two awards in the 2009 Anglian Business Awards. Run by newspaper group Archant, and sponsored by many local companies, including Choose Suffolk, the Anglian Business Awards are in their 11th year.
The Havant Centre has chosen ‘Kids’ as their charity.
Kids recently held a ‘Come dine with Kids’ event in
which a local hotel worked with a number of disabled
young people to help prepare and cook a 3 course
dinner.
To raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign centre staff and tenants at Basepoint Crawley delved deep into their wardrobes and searched for any pink items of clothing. The centre was awash with pink shirts, socks, ties with everyone making a £2 donation for wearing it pink. Centre staff Rebecca and Gillian hosted a pink themed coffee afternoon, and in total on the day received over £75 in donations for Breast Cancer Campaign.
