As a part of their community initiative, Burt’s Bees who are located at Basepoint Swindon recently donated a wide variety of their 99% natural health and cosmetic products to both the men’s and women’s refugees in the local area. Staff in the office filled up large cardboard boxes with personal care products such as body creams, body washes and soaps to be given away.
Basepoint Business Centres are delighted to have raised a grand total of £4,927.80 for Comic Relief during March 2011. The money was raised across their 28 centres and head office, thanks to the generosity of licensees and employees who all enjoyed taking part in various activities on ‘Red Nose Day’ and throughout that week. Some of the ‘fun’draising activities included how many people could fit into a Basepoint car, cake & book sales, car washes, raffles and even throwing wet sponges at a Centre Manager held in stocks! Claire Duc, Centre Manager at Basepoint Newhaven Enterprise Centre, will be taking the chair of Newhaven Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Club from Wednesday 13th July for 3 months. “Held at Woody’s on the A259 just outside Newhaven it is the perfect venue, we have a great breakfast and look out at superb views of the Downs, an inspiring way to start our morning” Claire commented.
This year’s Malvern RFC Sportsman’s dinner, sponsored by Basepoint Tewkesbury, attracted over 150 local businesses and raised over £3,500 for the club and £2,000 for charity.
Basepoint Bromsgrove recently sponsored a Young Enterprise award at St Augustine’s High School in Redditch. Young Enterprise is all about building a connected world of young people, business volunteers and educators, inspiring each other to succeed through enterprise. Basepoint in Bromsgrove have sponsored this event for a few years and continues to be impressed by the local abilities of our young business people. Chris Harris, Area Manager presented Basepoint’s award to Creative Flair from North Bromsgrove High School.
