In lovely warm sunshine, big crowds were keeping experts busy at the Antiques Roadshow by Tewkesbury Abbey last week.
Specialists from the popular BBC programme have been checking out items brought in by members of the public.
Antiques Roadshow executive editor Simon Shaw said: “Our Antiques Roadshow at Tewkesbury Abbey marks the start of our 2016 filming, and we feel the locations this year are some of our most beautiful and historic yet."
Many of Britain’s leading antiques and fine arts specialists are on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors, who are invited to raid their attics and bring along their family heirlooms, household treasures and car-boot sale bargains for inspection by the experts.
They don't call it a big weekend for nothing. Tewkesbury's Big Weekend is taking place across three days for the first time in its history – and more days means more fun.
The extravaganza, providing entertainment in High Street and by the riverside, started on Friday 6th May and finished on Sunday the 9th May.
It is the first time in the event's three-year history that anything has been staged other than on a Saturday and Sunday.
There was a carnival-style walking parade in the town centre on the Saturday at 3.30pm and will be a river parade on the Sunday at 3pm.
Regular ferryboat trips will also continue on Sunday, taking people from Back of Avon to The Fleet at Twyning, via Croft Farm Water Park.
Profits from the weekend will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support, The Avon Navigation Trust, the Town Mayor's Charities and Tewkesbury Boys Brigade.
