HOUSEBUYERS in Winchester have been given a boost thanks to a new scheme which the city council is considering. Winchester City Council is looking at setting up an 'Open-Market Shared Ownership' scheme. This would support local residents by providing equity to buy a property in the district for those who do not have enough money for the deposit required for a house.

Basepoint was out in force recently when the Hampshire-based Business Centres exhibited at an expo at the Ageas Bowl. It was all hands on deck as six of Basepoint's 31 centres exhibited at the Southampton Business Expo 2016 recently.

FIRMS in Winchester can enjoy free parking on weekends thanks to an initiative by their local Business Improvement District. The BID has arranged for free weekend parking at the Tower Street multi-storey car park. Exclusively for BID members, up to 140 spaces are available on Saturdays and Sundays in the run up to Christmas. Hampshire County Council is providing access to the basement, usually utilised by their employees during the week. The initiative will free spaces for customers and clients elsewhere in the city.
This week Winchester Basepoint supported Global Entrepreneurship Week by hosting a free exhibition & networking event. The event was a great success and we welcomed over 70 attendees, 18 exhibitors and 8 guest speakers to the centre.
