The Awards, which encourage, acknowledge and celebrate exemplary partnerships between the private sector and the arts, reflect the broad range of work undertaken by A&B Cymru. For the 4th year, the crucial role that individuals play in supporting the arts across Wales is being recognised by the A&B Cymru Philanthropy Award. Personal generosity is playing an increasingly important part in Welsh cultural life and A&B Cymru has a major role in encouraging public recognition for this method of arts support.
The award winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges who have expertise in practical art forms, sponsorship and the aims of the private sector. The individuals who will judge the business partnership categories are: David Anderson, Director General, National Museum Wales, Gareth Lloyd Roberts, Director, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Kathryn Roberts, Senior Partner Cardiff, Eversheds, Gill Sandford, Dean, Faculty of Creative Industries, University of South Wales and Jenny Whitham, Managing Director, Patchwork Traditional Food Company. The winner of Business Adviser of the Year will be judged separately by two former winners of the award and stalwarts of A&B Cymru’s Professional Development Programmes, Head of Strategy at Legal & General, Paul Ralley and Kay Walters, director of HR Consultancy Pobol. The successful individuals and companies will once again receive trophies specially commissioned for the ceremony. This year they will be designed and made by Welsh Sculptor Sara Myers.
The deadline for receiving nominations for the 2015 Awards is Friday the 13 of March. Nomination forms are available by e-mail from [email protected]
