Tour De Gwent
Tour De Gwent is a 74, 36 or 24 mile charity bike ride that takes you on a stunning scenic circular route through some of the most beautiful parts of South Wales. Takes place on 29th March 2015.
Set amid some of the most spectacular scenery in South East Wales the ‘Tour de Gwent’, formerly the Big Bike Ride, will see 500 riders pit themselves against this challenging circular course. We’re delighted to have Whitehead as main sponsor for our March 2015 event.
Tour De Gwent is a 74, 36 or 24 mile charity bike ride that takes you on a stunning scenic circular route through some of the most beautiful parts of South Wales. You will set off from Rougemont School, Newport, NP20 6QB at 8.00am on Sunday the 29th of March 2015 aiming to complete the 74 mile route in around 8 to 10 hours.
Entry to this popular event is priced at £45.00 per rider and includes the following:
Your exclusive event cycling ‘Sport Cut’ jersey
BBQ on return to Start/Finish
Motorcycle and volunteer marshals along the route
Maps, Directions, Water and Feeding Stations will be provided along the way
Chip Timing (for cyclist information only)
Entry places are restricted therefore the availability is on a strictly first come first served basis. The minimum age for entrants is 16 years on the day of the challenge.
Rules and Regulations:
Riders take full responsibility for themselves for the duration of this event
It is essential that a helmet must be worn for the whole route
Riders are expected to abide by the Highway Code
This is not a race, more of a personal challenge
The minimum age to take part is 16 years old on the day of the event.
Anyone under the age of 18 who is taking part needs to have written parental consent and must be accompanied by an adult.
