Making a Difference with Cakes & Marmalade
Basepoint Chepstow staff and Licensees came together on Friday to raise funds for our “Making a Difference for Nepal” campaign.
A sale of coffee and cakes, along with a couple of batches of homemade marmalade, raised a fabulous £125 for the appeal. This doesn’t include the numerous donations made online through our webpage.
Money raised is being sent to ShelterBox, a UK registered charity providing emergency shelter and vital supplies to Nepal. ShelterBox is sending shelter kits which will help people to mend buildings and build temporary shelters that can be adapted and moved when needed. ShelterBox teams are on the ground in Nepal to support the people most in need and to distribute aid.
Basepoint hope to raise a total of £250,000 for ShelterBox having sent them £220,000 to date. To help achieve this target Basepoint is match funding any money given to its appeal until the target is achieved.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated.
