October Networking Hub with Andy Lewis
Attendees to Chepstow's October B2B Networking Hub event were treated to a truly inspiring talk from Paralympic Gold medal winning Para Triathlete, Andy Lewis.
The event, hosted by Centre Manager, Ian Mitchell, saw nearly 30 people, many of whom were newcomers to the Chepstow Netowrking events, attend to listen to the emotional and inspirational story of Andy Lewis from Lydney.
Andy recently won a Gold medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, but his journey to that historic and monumentous day was littered with tragic events and life changing decisions, as Andy had his right leg amputated through the knee after being involved in a motorbike accident when aged 16. At the time he was applying to be part of the Army Parachute Regiment and was a cross country runner for Gloucestershire.
Centre Manager Ian Mitchell comments, 'Andy is a real inspiration to us all and his time spent with us at our B2B Networking event shows how his life has been turned around from being at such a low ebb to becoming Paralympic champion. It really is a lesson to us all that in the face of such adveristy we should never give up to realise our dreams.'
Andy is currently available for motivational speaking bookings and can be contacted via his website http://www.andyjlewis.co.uk/
