Newhaven Enterprise Centre’s management team, licensees and local people came together to enjoy coffee, cakes and a little networking and to raise money for a good cause at the same time. Friday 24th September saw over thirty people enjoying coffee and home made cakes at the Centre and between them £175 was raised in support of Macmillan Cancer Care’s local appeal to raise £3.7m to build the Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre.
After winning Basepoint Weymouth’s sunflower competition, the Weymouth Badger Sett (who are part of the St John’s Ambulance) has been awarded £250 in vouchers.
After winning Basepoint Exeter’s sunflower competition for having the tallest sunflower in the area, the West of England School and College for young people with little or no sight has been awarded £250 worth of vouchers which they plan to spend on their ‘living skills’ sessions.

Martin works for Maitland Recruitment Services at unit 50 Basepoint Bromsgrove, he is Financial Contoller for the company. For the last 5 years he has been undertaking a relentless fitness regime, loosing over 6 stone in weight, in order to be able to walk the Grand Canyon and in so doing raise funds for his chosen charity CLIC Sargent, the children's cancer and leukemia support charity.
