Newhaven Enterprise Centre Colouring Competition Prizegiving

The Newhaven and area winner of the Basepoint Sunflower Colouring Competition for local primary schools is 8 year-old Ophelia Gann. Ophelia is seen receiving her prize of an art kit from Newhaven Enterprise Centre’s manager, Claire Duc. Ophelia is a pupil in year 4 at Denton Community Primary School, Miss Johnston’s class and she thoroughly enjoys art classes.

Basepoint exhibit at the annual Romsey Show

TENS of thousands of visitors flocked to Romsey for the town’s annual show. This year’s Romsey Agricultural and Horse Show honoured those who gave their lives in the Battle of Britain. Among the highlights were a flypast of historic aircraft and displays to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and the Chariots of Fire carriage driving team. Hundreds of horses, cattle and sheep competed for prizes and a place in the ever-popular grand parade, alongside show jumping and displays of goats organised by the Hampshire Goat Society. Trade stands sold out early at Saturday’s event at Broadlands.

Basepoint Basingstoke Support Local Hospice

Basepoint Basingstoke is delighted to announce that they have chosen local charity St Michael’s Hospice as their new beneficiary for 2010/11. Basepoint staff and tenants will be collaborating with the Hospice on various fundraising activities over the coming months and any funds raised as a result of the alliance – up to the value of £10,000 – will be matched by Basepoints parent company, the ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant-making charity.
