The Newhaven Enterprise Centre — a flagship for Basepoint, the UK’s leading developer and operator of managed enterprise centres — has just celebrated the completion of a highly successful first year of operations, reporting a significant upswing in demand for more space from its licensees.
Andrew Weston, the centre manager of Gosport Business Centre hands over a cheque for £621.39 to Julie Woodward, the community and events manager from The Rainbow Centre as part of the business centre’s match funding scheme. Andrew selected The Rainbow Centre as the business centres charity after being asked to find an organisation whose work was similar to those supported by Basepoint's parent company The ACT Foundation.
On Sunday 26th October, Kathryn Warren (Assistant Manager, Newhaven) ran the 10k race for life in Brighton. Kathryn ran with her husband in memory of her mum to raise money for Cancer Research in the howling wind and torrential rain! With the help of the centre licensees they have raised a fantastic £1020 and are still accepting donations at the following link:
At the annual Gosport in Bloom Awards, held on Thursday 16th October in the Grand Magazine at Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower, the centre walked away with a Gold and Silver Medal.
